Learn how to be a Phi
The men of Kansas Beta all went through the same process that every new member travels through. Our Phikeia Education program reinforces what is expected of a Phi. Without these teachings, we would not have the fraternity we have today. The Phikeia Program in no way involves any hazing. Phi Delta Theta promotes an anti-hazing policy that is practiced and performed by every chapter. Kansas Beta follows these same guidelines and you can expect significant teachings that will help you throughout your life when you meet your Phikeia Educator. We are here to cultivate men of good morals and executive stature. Which is why our active members hold high ranking positions across campus.
Hazing….. Not Tolerated
Phi Delta Theta does not condone any form of hazing. It is contrary to the purpose of fraternity, let alone Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Members can still achieve a close group of men throughout the organization without hazing and Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters offers resources to help transplant negative activities with positive ones.
Phi Delta Theta encourages family members to discuss hazing and other new member practices. Family members have the unique opportunity to speak one-on-one about the dangers of hazing.
The Kansas Beta Education
Your Phikeia program begins the day you sign your green card in accordance with the rules of Washburn’s residential living department. Immediately, you will meet and get acquainted with your Phikeia Educator. An officer elected to lead and teach by the chapter. An active member who closely follows the three cardinal principles and the kind of member that transmits the fraternity to those who may follow after, not only not less, but greater than it was transmitted to them.
